Maintenance Electrician - 2nd Shift

JOB SUMMARY

To maintain all electric motors, control boxes, starters and PLC's operation of all electric equipment and repair.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Maintenance and repair of motors Maintenance on control boxes Maintenance on PLC's, variable speed drives etc. Maintenance on starters Run of conduit and wiring Replacement of parts as needed Installing and removal of machinery Know emergency procedures when lights go out in plant Procedures for lockout/tag out

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

High School Diploma, General Educational Development Diploma (GED) or equivalent experience Strong background in electrical Good work history 3 years' experience as an electrician in an industrial environment desired

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

Teamwork Background in industrial electricity Basic PLC understanding and usage skills Must be able to understand and carry out basic instructions while performing manual labor related tasks Must be able to successfully use basic, math, writing, and reading skills necessary to complete the required paperwork and projects Good Communication Skills Accurate Detail oriented Able to handle pressure Multi-task oriented On the job training: o Complete Apprenticeship program o Credit for previous applicable schooling o Use of PC for program trouble shooting o Schooling on safety o Lockout procedures o Repair and maintenance of electrical equipment o MP2 training, writing work orders and purchase requests o GMP, Food Safety for Maintenance

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORKING CONDITIONS

Sitting- to complete a task at lower levels Standing- to complete most all tasks Walking Climbing- to get to parts department, when using ladder, on equipment Reaching- to perform activities, to get tools out of toolbox Kneeling- to perform work activities at low levels Crawling- to perform work activities under equipment Squatting Bending/stooping- to pick up tools or parts, to perform work tasks at lower levels or inside a machine Twisting- to perform work activities Pinch- to use tools, to manipulate wires Grasping/handling- using tools, manipulating parts Must be able to lift 20 pounds Must be able to move parts in excess of 100 pounds Must be able to climb ladders Must be able to work in confined areas

Responsible for monitoring, record keeping and taking appropriate actions for specific Food Safety Plan and Food Quality Plan and prerequisite program requirements. Responsible to report food safety and quality issues to management.
