Adjunct Instructor of English – Online
Young Harris College invites applications for a part‑time, non‑tenure track position to begin in August 2026. The role involves online teaching of ENGL 1101 and 1102 for the Young Harris College Dual Enrollment program, where high‑school students take college courses to earn transferable credits while still earning credit toward high‑school graduation. The courses are pre‑built in Moodle and are 16 weeks long.

Responsibilities

Facilitate the courses and provide timely, meaningful feedback to students.

Track student participation and communicate frequently with learners.

Assist students with course content and technology usage.

Support the course curriculum and maintain an engaging online learning environment.

Qualifications

Earned at least a Master’s degree in English.

Strong commitment to teaching in a liberal arts undergraduate curriculum.

Comfortable with technology and experienced with Moodle (a plus).

Can collaborate with faculty and support staff to maintain course quality and compliance.

Compensation
Instructors are compensated on a per‑course basis.
