The Sr. Technical Project Manager is a hands-on delivery role. You'll own a portfolio of concurrent projects across utilities, from scoping through deployment, acceptance, and closeout. Most projects run direct between iEnet and the end customer, working closely with our engineering team. You'll be the central point of execution, translating scope into a plan, coordinating engineers and subcontractors, working the technical details, and keeping the customer's project-level counterparts informed throughout.
You've spent years personally delivering physical security and infrastructure integration projects. You've done this work at a physical security integrator, an engineering or EPC firm with a security or substation practice and/or a utility's construction, security or critical infrastructure delivery group. You understand substations, control centers, remote field sites, and what "critical infrastructure" actually means on the ground. You've owned scope, schedule, budget, vendor coordination, and customer-facing delivery on concurrent projects. NERC CIP, badging requirements, site access certifications, and regulated-environment compliance aren't new to you.
YOUR PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Project Planning & Delivery
- Build and manage project plans, schedules, milestones, budgets, and resource allocation, across a concurrent portfolio.
- Monitor progress and address scope, schedule, or budget variances before they become issues.
- Run the mechanics: POs, equipment staging, contractor coordination, and site readiness.
Scoping & SOW Development
- Lead project scoping in collaboration with account managers and engineers.
- Own end-to-end SOW development with technical, financial, and operational accuracy
Vendor & Feasibility Management
- Coordinate vendor and subcontractor readiness against project timelines and SLAs.
- Validate solution compatibility with existing client infrastructure before deployment.
Risk & Issue Management
- Identify, document, and actively manage risks across technical, schedule, cost, and dependency dimensions.
- Serve as the primary escalation point for project-level issues.
Stakeholder Communication
- Keep clients and internal stakeholders consistently informed with substantive updates.
- Maintain clean project documentation throughout the lifecycle.
Continuous Improvement
- Capture lessons learned post-deployment and feed them back into iEnet's delivery practices.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required Experience
- 8+ years of project delivery experience in construction, engineering, or critical infrastructure, managing multiple concurrent projects and portfolios in the ~$5–7M range.
- Full project lifecycle experience; scoping through deployment, acceptance, and closeout.
- Strong risk management, schedule, and budget skills.
- Demonstrated clear effective communication and success working across diverse stakeholder groups, including operations, engineering, compliance, vendors, subcontractors, and leadership teams.
Preferred Experience
- Experience delivering physical security projects (e.g., access control, video surveillance, perimeter protection, intrusion detection), particularly in critical-infrastructure or regulated environments.
- Hands-on experience managing compliance and onboarding requirements for delivery teams, site access certifications, background checks, badging, remote-access authorization to secure systems, and required safety training.
- Working familiarity with utility-sector cyber/physical security deployments.
