Raw Materials Inventory Specialist

Performs and communicates inventory movements, receiving activities and outbound load coordination for raw materials and rework. Provides tracking and support for Raw Materials departmental activities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Railyard / Silo Inventory Support: Processes Goods Receipts of inbound raw material railcars. Updates inventory in SAP on railcar movements and silo transfers to maintain accurate inventory records. Prepares Daily Silo Report for Operations and Inventory Control personnel. Performs empty railcar verification for every switch. Provides troubleshooting and backup for railcar unloading processes. Back up Inventory Control Administrator Railcar/Silo management activities.
  • Inbound Raw Materials / Rework Receiving: Supports all raw materials and rework receiving activities. Oversees filling / measurement of liquid tanks as well as proper storage, handling and disposition of liquid containers. Provides data for VCAR process, performs quarantine area management. Handles raw material waiver requests, communication and tracking. Serves as departmental point of contact for trial activities.
  • Outbound Load Coordination: Performs inventory movements, coordination and communication for outbound rework / scrap loads. Oversees material handling, packaging, inventory movements and communication for export shipments. Processes outbound STOs and PCMs as needed.
  • Raw Materials / Rework Inventory Oversight: Conducts / facilitates monthly Physical Inventory of raw materials and rework. Ensures continual accuracy of departmental inventory via periodic cycle counts of first floor bins and monitoring / support for RF transactions. Supports resolution of rework PP Consumption errors Drive improvement on waste reporting in Mixing. DOTP tank filling based on ZCBB1 analysis. Process material scrapping.
  • Raw Materials Departmental Support: Records and tracks departmental KPIs, including production data and goals. Tracks scrap sales and found inventory by line. Provides troubleshooting and backup for rework processing and material handling activities. Assists with OSHA compliance and safety audits throughout department. Other duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience: Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Knowledge of production and inventory control systems, SAP experience preferred.
