Chief Technology and AI Innovation Officer - ICBD

The Role
Overview: Reporting to the ICBD CEO, we seek a sophisticated technology leader to drive our strategic IT vision and implement customer-centric, cutting-edge AI solutions that drive product revenue and commercialize innovation. You will be the architect of our technical future and the essential bridge between client-facing teams and engineering capabilities. You will lead AI innovation, transforming customer needs into commercial products and driving efficiency in a fast-growth environment. This role requires an execution-oriented senior executive capable of bridging Gen AI/ML, complex healthcare platforms and data, as well as operational excellence.
Responsibilities and core focus areas include strategic technology leadership, growth, cross-team collaboration, operational improvement, and leadership alignment with the executive team.
Responsibilities
- Define and execute the company’s technology strategy, aligning with business goals and supporting ICBD’s strategic priorities.
- Lead AI strategy development by understanding the AI needs of ICBD’s portfolio companies and integrating AI initiatives to improve outcomes.
- Work directly with clients and commercial teams to understand pain points and deliver customer-obsessed solutions.
- Act as the primary technical liaison between sales/client-facing teams and the development team, translating business goals into technical requirements and vice-versa.
- Drive operational excellence in a hands-on, rapid-growth environment; refine internal technical processes, automate routine tasks, and build scalable, secure, reliable systems.
- Translate technical concepts into clear business language for the senior leadership team and foster collaboration across functions.
Qualifications, Personal Attributes & Experience
- Education/Experience: 10+ years in technology leadership roles in highly results-driven entrepreneurial environments, preferably in healthcare, including managing AI/ML teams.
- Technical Expertise: Significant software development experience including at least 5 years in AI strategy, including developing bespoke AI solutions on an individual-use case basis.
- Commercial Acumen: A customer-obsessed mindset with proven experience driving product revenue and commercializing technical innovations.
- Exceptional Communicator: Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, compelling business language for clients and stakeholders.
- Leadership & Influence: Experience building or guiding technical teams, mentoring engineers, and fostering a culture of innovation.
- Education: MBA or Master’s preferred; Bachelor’s in technology-related field (e.g., Computer Science, Data Science, Systems) desirable.
