Travel Outpatient Radiation Therapist – $2,850 per week

AG Globe Services is seeking a travel Outpatient Radiation Therapist for a travel job in Little River, South Carolina. Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Radiation Therapist Discipline: Allied Health Professional Duration: 13 weeks 40 hours per week Shift: 8 hours, days Employment Type: Travel The Radiation Therapist is responsible for administering therapeutic doses of ionizing radiation; using advanced level linear accelerators, Tomotherapy treatment units, or proton therapy units; recording and verifying treatment software; as well as simulating patients in accordance with prescription and instruction of radiation oncologists. Maintains a professional image and exhibits excellent customer relations to patients, visitors, physicians, and co-workers in accordance with our Service Excellence Standards and Core Values. Administer daily prescribed doses for radiation therapy treatments. Adhere to standard work. Follow principles of radiation protection for patient, self and others and utilize appropriate health and safety equipment to protect both patient and staff. Position patients for treatment with accuracy according to prescription. Educate, prepare and reassure patients and their families by answering questions, providing physical assistance, and reinforcing physicians’ advice regarding treatment reactions and post-treatment care. Fosters an environment that demonstrates caring, compassion, and respect for all patients, families and visitors. Contributes to the training of radiation therapy students. Demonstrates continued professional growth through setting goals and participating in educational offerings. Other duties as assigned Address is McLeod Center for Cancer Treatment and Research at Seacoast: 3781 McDowell Lane, Little River, SC 29566 Comprehensive Cancer Center. Outpatient only. Will work a shift to split between start of 0700 and end of 1900. No call required. Monday through Friday only. Looking for someone with a couple of years' experience of working on a treatment machine treating patients.
