Hydro Yard Helper/Technician
The Hydro Yard Helper/Technician is responsible for aiding Hydro yard employees with various duties in a safe manner at onshore locations.
Job Location: Houma, La. (Local Listing)
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Assist other employees by performing various duties or tasks in the Hydro Yard
- Clean all fittings for piping and structural areas, utilizing bevel band for cutting
- Use Hydraulic and pneumatic torquing/impact tools
- Rig and bolt flange makeups
- Work around heavy equipment
- Learn to perform Hydrostatic testing
- Maintain clean working areas and practices good housekeeping
- Clean and return tools and equipment to proper place after use
- Ensure that water coolers are filled as needed
- Obey and follow all safety rules and policies
- Wear all appropriate safety equipment (PPE)
- Perform all other duties as assigned by manager and/or supervisor
Minimum Qualifications And Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent education
- 1+ years of experience
- OQSG CT 37 conducting pressure test/Veriforce CT501 Conducting pressure test or equivalent certification preferred
- Basic written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to perform basic level mathematical skills
- Ability to utilize various power tools
- Must have the ability to perform work accurately
- Must be reliable and have good time management skills
- For new hires, must meet all Performance Energy Services employment qualifications in force at time of hiring, including successful completion of a background investigation and pre-employment drug screen
- For new hires, must successfully complete all required training by Performance Energy Services
