Senior Lead Custodian

The Senior Lead Person is responsible for the proper maintenance of buildings and grounds. Supervises, reviews and trains custodial staff. Performs custodial duties as required.

Education: Basic High school diploma or equivalent

Experience: Two to three years work experience as a supervisor

Knowledge: General knowledge of custodial practices and procedures.

Responsibilities:

  • Assigns and performs cleaning tasks which may include: scrubbing, disinfecting, sweeping, mopping, dusting furniture and chalk boards, stripping and buffing floors.
  • Supervises, trains and evaluates custodial/grounds staff under the direct supervision of the Associate Director of Facilities.
  • Maintains personnel records as required (vacation schedules, absences, etc.).
  • Assists the Associate Director in establishing and maintaining personnel work schedules.
  • Oversees the processing of work orders and complete associated paperwork.
  • Oversees and maintains cleaning equipment and cleaning supplies.
  • Makes routine inspections of buildings and grounds identifying repair and custodial needs.
  • Oversees and performs outside grounds snow shoveling/blowing.
  • Oversees and ensure that washrooms are stocked with soap, toilet paper and paper towels.
  • Equipment operated: vacuums, carpet shampooer, floor scrubber/waxer/buffer, snow blower/shovel, dominator, brooms, mop/bucket/wringer, sprayers, dusters, squeegee, cleaning cart.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by the Associate Director of Facilities.

Annual base salary of $45,875 with full benefit package; Official transcripts required prior to employment; Recommended candidate for hire will be subject to pre-employment screenings; Triton College is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
