Lumper– 3rd Shift

Location: Keasbey NJ

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 12:00 AM - 8:30 AM

Pay Rate: $16.92 per hour

Job Overview

The Lumper will be responsible for unloading, sorting, and staging goods from incoming trucks. This position plays a critical role in ensuring smooth and efficient operations within the warehouse and distribution center.

Key Responsibilities
  • Unload & Load Trucks: Assist with unloading goods from inbound trucks and loading goods onto outbound trucks in a safe and efficient manner.

  • Organize and Sort Inventory: Sort products by category, size, and type, and place them in the appropriate storage locations in the warehouse.

  • Stacking & Palletizing: Properly stack and palletize merchandise, ensuring that products are safely secured for storage or shipment.

  • Quality Control: Inspect goods for damage and report any issues to management.

  • Maintain Safety Standards: Follow all safety procedures and guidelines to ensure a safe work environment.

  • Assist in Inventory Management: Support the team in regular stock checks and inventory audits.

  • Housekeeping: Keep work areas clean and organized, removing debris and ensuring safe walking surfaces.

  • Collaborate with Team: Work alongside other warehouse staff, including material handlers, forklift operators, and supervisors, to ensure all tasks are completed efficiently.

  • Other duties as assigned: Assist with other warehouse tasks as needed to ensure operational needs are met.

Qualifications
  • Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and perform tasks that require physical stamina and movement.

  • Experience: Previous warehouse or labor experience is preferred but not required.

  • Skills: Basic knowledge of warehouse safety protocols and equipment. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.

  • Work Environment: Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with varying temperatures depending on the warehouse conditions.

  • Shift Flexibility: Must be willing to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays if necessary.

Additional Notes:

  • This position requires some manual labor during periods of downtime, which may involve lifting and moving inventory manually

  • Candidates must be comfortable with physical work and manual handling responsibilities
