This position is a 24/7 on-call role, responsible for critical vendor onboarding and supply chain data integrity across TVA systems. The Specialist, Supply Chain Business serves as the primary point of contact for onboarding vendors at any time of day including nights and weekends as needed and manages urgent, time-sensitive work regularly. This role requires experience in Maximo ERP, Excel, and handling large volumes of detailed vendor information, including sensitive banking, tax, and PPII data with strict governance and compliance. The specialist must maintain IRS and tax approval access, process vendor record changes, and ensure accurate data flow across Maximo ERP systems and Supply Chain operations . Success in this position relies on exceptional attention to detail, strong coordination skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast- paced environment with frequent time sensitive demands.

POSITION PURPOSE:

The Supply Chain Business Specialist is a strategic role that works to help manage the governance, compliance, reporting, and training for Supply Chain. This position is responsible for building and maintaining strategic partnerships between Supply Chain and other TVA SBUs. The position also analyzes the expectations of the business to achieve lower costs, maximum value, competitive advantage, and improve customer satisfaction through assisting with projects and identification of gaps and opportunities.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Analyzes Supply Chain operations to improve effectiveness and efficiency. Evaluates business problems and operational procedures to identify potential enhancements to assigned systems to meet changing business requirements.
  • Supports Supply chain by assisting in the planning, design, implementation, and monitoring of major projects.
  • Identifies areas with significant gaps or opportunities for improvement and works to benchmark and implement needed changes.
  • Assists in process and business practice development to improve efficiency and ensure compliance with agency and regulatory guidance.
  • Assists in problem solving, reducing "non-value adding" activities, change management, development of training documentation, and training.
  • Supports Supply Chain in all governance and compliance areas ensuring programmatic adherence and standardization with proactive focus on quality, accuracy, documentation, and completeness.
  • Assists with planning, developing, and promoting collaborative tools and techniques across the organization to facilitate sharing of ideas and work processes among individuals and work teams. Leverages technology to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of Supply Chain.
  • Performs and solves a range of issues or problems and provides solutions to business partners.
  • Understands all areas of Supply Chain business and acts as partner with organizations to ensure policies and programs are aligned within the business as appropriate.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Education - Bachelors Degree from an accredited college or university in business management, computer

Science or related field; or equivalent education, training and experience.

Experience - 2 years or more years of experience in project management and systems development or supply chain and/or business related work experience including all aspects of plan, development, supporting processes, execution, and closure.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities - Knowledge of automated information systems and equipment particularly as they relate to TVA's supply chain function desired. Must have strong communication skills and analytical skills to recognize discrepancies in data/reports and the ability to resolve issues related to data. Must possess strong computer skills and a comprehensive knowledge of computer applications. Ability to format data using charts and graphics for executive management.
