Job Description
Works under the supervision of Manager or Director. Responsible for replenishing supplies and equipment to the Nursing units and ancillary departments. Responsible for distribution and charging of reusable equipment and inputs of patient charges on a daily basis. Participates in inventory cycle counting. Assists Receiving Clerks as necessary. Performs duties as Storeroom Clerk in both Distribution and Surgery Storeroom as needed.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for daily inventory management of supplies on nursing units and ancillary departments. Counts, fills and replaces items as indicated. Streamlines the flow of quantities as necessary. Inputs daily patient charges.
- Consults with customer pertaining to product issues, makes recommendations regarding par level adjustment, etc.
- Inputs requests for departments and clinics for supplies, fills order and distributes to the appropriate area with patient charge stickers if needed.
- Unloads incoming supplies, breaks down skids and places supplies on the shelf, rotating stock, cleaning shelves, and distribution area.
- Responsible for patient care equipment management; distribution, charging inventory, and tracking (IV pumps, Wall Suction, SCD Devices, etc.) Takes appropriate steps to meet equipment needs.
- Responsible for maintaining code blue crash carts, by transporting carts to and from nursing units. Inventory the cart and replenish supplies as needed and charge for supplies used.
- Produce routine reports for nursing units and ancillary departments as needed.
- Conducts routine inventory cycle counts for items as assigned.
- Performs duties as a Storeroom Clerk in both Distribution and Surgery Storeroom as needed.

Education
- H.S. Diploma - Required
Work Experience
- Within 6 months should be able to adequately perform all duties. - Required
- Must be at least 21 years of age to be on vehicle insurance - Required
Licenses and Certifications
- Upon Hire
Travel Requirements
- Must be able to travel between various system facilities and off-site locations as needed. - Required

Essential Technical/Motor Skills
- Computer skills, inputting data, speaking clearly, answering phone, fine motor skills.

- Good customer service skills, strong work ethic, friendly, good oral communication skills, adaptable, cooperative, team player.
Essential Physical Requirements
- Lift 50lbs., pushing, pulling, walking, bending, stooping, reaching, and moving.
Essential Mental Abilities
- Comprehend, understand, short/long term memory, and follow rules/instructions, organizational skills.
- General math skills and ability to calculate and rationalize appropriate levels of inventory.
Essential Sensory Requirements
- Visual skills.
Exposure to Hazards
- Lab, renal, pharmacy chemicals, cleaning chemicals, ETO and medical gases.
