Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)

Duties:

This position is located within a very busy Allergy & Asthma clinic with 2 providers as well as skin testing/challenges and a very robust immunotherapy department. This role in particular will be to help support an RN perform skin testing and challenges, occasionally support the providers in rooming patients, and help as needed with authorizations for biologics and testing.
- Perform medical administrative support tasks
- Take and record patients' vital signs
- Prepare patients for examinations and procedures
- Collect patient medical history and update electronic health records
- Administer medications as directed by healthcare providers
- Assist with patient education and provide instructions.
- Schedule appointments and coordinate patient referrals

Experience:
- Previous experience working in a hospital or medical setting preferred.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
- Proficient in performing vital signs measurements accurately.
- Familiarity with medical coding and billing processes.
- Ability to provide compassionate patient care and maintain patient confidentiality.
