Role Overview

Kroger is looking for a Grocery / Lead Clerk to deliver an outstanding customer experience while supporting daily store operations.

This role involves assisting the department manager in achieving sales and profitability goals, maintaining quality standards, and ensuring a safe, clean, and customer-friendly environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver exceptional customer service by creating a welcoming and helpful store environment
  • Assist customers with product queries, recommendations, and grocery selections
  • Promote store offers, specials, and new products
  • Ensure product freshness by checking quality and "sell by" dates
  • Label, stock, and manage inventory within the department
  • Support department manager in achieving sales and operational targets
  • Monitor and report ordering or shipping discrepancies
  • Maintain awareness of seasonal promotions and advertisements
  • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and temperature control standards
  • Identify and report safety risks, maintenance issues, and incidents
  • Follow company policies related to loss prevention, safety, and compliance

Eligibility Criteria

  • Minimum 18 years of age
