Front Desk Representative

How you'll contribute
- Ensures that all necessary demographic, billing, and clinical information is obtained and entered in the registration system with timeliness and accuracy.
- Greets patients and handles check-in/check-out process, including use of Clockwise system
- Enters demographics and scans patient information into EMR and properly logs patient into system
- Verifies patient demographic and insurance information, updating as needed
- Collects patient payments
- Answers and responds to inquiries, forwards messages from patients, pharmacies, and other providers to clinical staff according to company protocol
- Maintains accurate accounting of cash drawer during shift
- Calls patients to follow up on their visit to MAUC, as needed
- Maintains cleanliness and functionality of office, particularly lobby and registration area
- Performs other duties as required
What we're looking for
- Applicants should have a high school diploma or equivalent (required). Additional requirements include:
- Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
- Ability to read, write, and perform basic mathematical functions.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively and courteously handle patient and family interactions and interactions with other staff.
- Technology proficiency: familiarity with the use of Microsoft Office Suite; ability to utilize practice management, EMR, and Clockwise software accurately and efficiently.
- Organized, detail-oriented, and able to work well under pressure.
- Efficient and accurate completion of daily tasks and data entry.
- Professional appearance and manner.
- Knowledge of insurance/medical terms and policies preferred but not required.
