Job Summary

This position has an emphasis on processing referrals for an outpatient Cardiology clinic. This can include surgical referrals and/or procedures. This person will work closely with cardiology staff to ensure timely and accurate authorizations. Referral/insurance experience is a must. Ideally, this will be a temp to perm position.

Key Responsibilities

• Process referrals for outpatient Cardiology clinic, including surgical referrals and/or procedures
• Work closely with cardiology staff to ensure timely and accurate authorizations
• Process insurance authorizations

Required Experience

• At least 1 year of experience in a medical/healthcare setting
• Two years in a customer service role
• Prior experience providing a high level of customer service in a fast-paced environment, including handling confidential data with discretion
• Experience processing insurance authorizations
• Experience processing referrals

• Insurance authorization processing

Preferred Skills

• Electronic Medical Records (EMR) experience
