Customer Service Coordinator
Position Overview
The Customer Service Coordinator serves as the primary point of contact for customers and acts as a critical liaison between customers, sales, and operations teams. This role is responsible for managing customer relationships across one or multiple plants, ensuring orders are processed accurately, and delivery requirements are met. The coordinator leverages knowledge of production planning, logistics, and inventory management to deliver a seamless customer experience while working with minimal supervision on routine tasks.
Key Responsibilities
Business Excellence
- Create and validate new item specifications and customer projects
- Manage customer accounts and orders, including processing inquiries and scheduling production demand
- Ensure customer delivery requirements are met through proactive order management
- Track order activity, inventory levels, and communicate potential issues to stakeholders
- Coordinate outside purchases for services and materials required for manufacturing
- Generate reports and share relevant data with customers
- Support the Quality Manager in investigating and resolving customer quality issues
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with sales, production, planning, shipping, and plant leadership teams to ensure alignment and on-time delivery
- ct as a liaison between customers, sales teams, credit analysts, and collections
- Collaborate with production teams to review specifications and ensure efficient manufacturing processes
- Work with planning and operations teams to manage schedules and backlogs
- Provide guidance and training to junior team members

Qualifications
- Experience in customer service, order management, or account coordination (manufacturing environment preferred)
- Familiarity with production planning, logistics, and inventory management

Work Environment & Physical Requirements
- Primarily office-based in a climate-controlled environment
- Sedentary role requiring extended periods of sitting
- Frequent use of computer and typing with both hands
