Driver / Shipping & Receiving Associate
Department: Shipping & Receiving
Reports To: Production Supervisor
Location: CT & MA
Pay: $25-30/hour

Job Summary

  • Drive company truck on established routes to deliver finished products and pick up returned materials
  • Support warehouse shipping and receiving operations, including loading, unloading, order pulling, and inventory movement

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with Production Supervisor and Logistics to ensure on-time deliveries
  • Load, secure, and deliver finished parts safely while following established routes and schedules
  • Oversee unloading at customer locations, process delivery paperwork, and resolve delivery issues as needed
  • Inspect truck before and after use, including fluid levels, tire pressure, and general condition
  • Maintain truck cleanliness, safety equipment, logs, and coordinate preventive maintenance/repairs
  • Ensure all required safety equipment is present, including fire extinguisher, reflective triangles, spill kit, and accident reporting kit
  • Assist in warehouse operations, including pulling orders, loading/unloading materials, storing inventory, and shipping tasks
  • Operate forklift and maintain accurate delivery and warehouse records
  • Follow DOT regulations, company policies, and all state/local driving laws

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • 1-3 years of experience driving a company vehicle with an excellent driving record
  • Forklift certification required; CDL preferred
  • Knowledge of DOT regulations and safe driving practices
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing
  • Dependable, adaptable, and able to work in a changing environment

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, and lift up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to sit for extended periods while driving
  • Must have sufficient vision, hearing, and manual dexterity to safely perform duties
