Kodak Alaris Colorado is the home of Kodak Moments Thermal Media Manufacturing and the Windsor Regional Distribution Center. The operations are responsible for the manufacturing and distribution of thermal media for photographic applications.

This individual is responsible for the planning and purchasing of all packaging and chemical raw material items to support the Thermal Media Manufacturing operations at Kodak Moments Colorado. The component planner works closely with external suppliers to ensure accurate and timely delivery to support the manufacturing schedules. The component planner plays a key role on several teams charged with new item development, cost reductions, and inventory management. The role must be performed at the facility in Windsor, Colorado, due to the importance of interacting with shop floor operations and local vendors on a daily basis.

Major Activities:

  • Provides monthly forecasts to external vendors
  • Creates Purchasing Agreements and Purchase Orders for supplies to support manufacturing schedules utilizing MRP and lean manufacturing tools
  • Participates in operations daily morning markets and takes necessary actions for supply issues
  • Follows up on purchase order issues such as delivery timing and quantity, and works with Purchasing to make changes as necessary.
  • Maintains supplier relationships with frequent communications to enable timely and accurate deliveries
  • Estimates and tracks inventory levels to meet budgeted goals.
  • Manages excess, slow-moving or obsolete materials.
  • Manages MRP parameters such as safety stock, minimum and multiple order quantity, in such a way that optimizes inventory while meeting business objectives.
  • Participates in new item development projects relating to packaging and chemical component changes.
  • Participates in cycle counting processes and physical inventory audits, and enters inventory adjustments, as appropriate.
  • Assists the logistics receiving personnel with delivery issues.
  • Participates in resolution with vendors for quality issues on incoming supplies.
  • Performs daily monitoring of shop floor supply availability with walk throughs of the operations.

Skills Requirements and Core Competencies:

  • 1-3 years of experience in supply chain planning
  • Working knowledge of MRP principles
  • Understanding of Lean Manufacturing Principles
  • Effective Use of Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Self-starter with the ability to multi-task in a changing environment
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a larger team
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Excellent communication (verbal and written) skills
  • Data Driven and Detail Oriented behaviors
  • Ability to quickly learn new tools

Desired Knowledge and Skills:

  • Experience with ERP Systems, including Microsoft Dynamics AX
  • Negotiation skills
  • Tolerance for Stress

Compensation: $21-$23 Based on Experience
