Dispatcher Position
The Dispatcher position is responsible for communications associated with all jobs, delivery of equipment or materials, service coordination as pertains to the location and its scope of business. The dispatcher serves as a communications conduit to the Sales and Administrative Departments. The dispatcher will interface with all Rental/Fishing-Service Department personnel as well as Regional Admin and third-party vendors as needed.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Communicate with and respond as needed to any and all customer and vendor calls as relates to assembly of a new job, support of an ongoing job, or reference to information concerning a closed job.
- Assist in development of equipment list to define quantity and description as well as scheduling to send out or receive a job back in to the location.
- Communicate with field service personnel regarding the status of the job, equipment and support.
- If an item is not returned, take appropriate action to locate the item and update its status in the inventory management software.
- Complete a Load-out Sheet for each job, paying special attention to clearly capture all the needs details, or if available, create a Delivery Ticket on the inventory management software mobile app.
- Collect, define and code any charges related to repair, damaged or lost equipment to proper job tickets for invoicing.
- Update of all WOT Sales representatives as requested and/or as needed as to status of jobs.
- Receive, identify and take proper steps to get capital rental/service equipment serialized and into the WOT inventory tracking system.
- Assist in job/equipment-service verification, staging and shipping as needed.
- Wear company issued PP&E when required, when there is no requirement dress in clean, professional manner, wearing a collared shirt and appropriate pants. Company-issued attire is acceptable, but clothing should be neat and free from wrinkles, stains, or excessive or inappropriate graphics.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace. If you notice any mess or disorganization, take responsibility to clean it up.
- Adhere to all company policies.
- Other duties as defined by Supervisor.
Financial Responsibilities:
- Regularly update the Administrative Department when billing changes occur.
QHSE Responsibilities:
- Be aware of and apply all WOT QHSE policies and adhere.
- Complete training necessary to perform a quality job in a safe and environmentally responsible manner.
- Use "Stop Work Authority" when unsafe or environmentally unsound conditions could lead to an incident impacting health, safety, environmental and or well being.
- Ensure that good housekeeping is maintained.
- Conduct and or participate in pre-job (pre-task) meetings with fellow employees and document on JSA's
Candidate Characteristics:
- Experience: Recent practical experience with oil field equipment as pertains to rental, fishing and service work. Minimum preferred 3 – 5 years.
- Education and Training: High School diploma and hands on experience with current working environment preferred.
- Personal Attributes: Excellent communication skills a must. Comprehension of materials management and volume control. Ability to effectively deal with problems under pressure. Maintain good client and subordinate relationships. Practical computer skills. Excellent understanding of procedures development. An appreciation of commitment to safety.
