Shipping Clerk

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Shipping Clerk to join our logistics team. The Shipping Clerk will be responsible for preparing outgoing shipments, maintaining accurate shipping records, coordinating with carriers, and ensuring timely and accurate delivery of products. The ideal candidate is organized, efficient, and able to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and package orders for shipment according to company standards and customer requirements
  • Create and print shipping labels, bills of lading, and other required documentation
  • Schedule pickups and coordinate with shipping carriers (UPS, FedEx, USPS, LTL, etc.)
  • Inspect outgoing shipments to ensure accuracy and quality
  • Maintain accurate shipping and inventory records in the system
  • Communicate with internal departments (e.g., Sales, Customer Service) regarding shipping schedules and issues
  • Track shipments and resolve delivery issues or discrepancies
  • Assist in receiving and stocking inventory when needed
  • Ensure a clean and organized shipping area
  • Follow all safety and operational procedures
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • 1+ year of experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations preferred
  • Familiarity with shipping software (e.g., UPS WorldShip, FedEx Ship Manager)
  • Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Forklift certification is a plus (if applicable)
