Description
Production Support Engineer
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Production Support Engineer to join our manufacturing team. This entry-level role is ideal for recent engineering graduates or individuals with some hands-on experience in a production environment. The successful candidate will support daily manufacturing operations, troubleshoot equipment and process issues, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Focus Areas
· Provide technical support to production teams to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
· Monitor equipment performance and assist in diagnosing mechanical, electrical, or process-related issues.
· Collaborate with maintenance and engineering teams to resolve downtime and improve reliability.
· Assist in implementing process improvements, cost reduction initiatives, and quality enhancements.
· Maintain accurate documentation of troubleshooting activities, process changes, and equipment modifications.
· Support root cause analysis and corrective actions for production defects or failures. Support launch of predictive maintenance programs
· Participate in safety audits and ensure compliance with plant safety standards.
· Assist in training production staff on new procedures or equipment.
Foundational Experience
Required Qualifications & Experience: To be considered for this position, you must possess the following qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering (or related field).
- Internship or co-op experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting is a plus.
- Basic understanding of manufacturing processes, equipment, and safety protocols.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with CAD or ERP systems is a plus.
- Willingness to work in a hands-on, fast-paced environment.
Desired Qualifications: To be considered an ideal candidate, you should possess some or all of the following qualifications:
· Exposure to Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
· Familiarity with PLCs, automation systems, or industrial controls.
· Ability to read technical drawings and schematics.
