Description

School Bus Driver

Safely transport students to and from school, ensuring a secure and supportive environment throughout each trip. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student pick-ups, drop-offs, and related transportation data. Operate vehicles along assigned routes and provide transportation for special trips and school-sponsored activities. Conduct routine vehicle checks to ensure safe operating conditions and report any maintenance needs promptly. Supervise students during transit to promote safe behavior and adherence to safety guidelines. Assist students with boarding and exiting the vehicle in a safe and orderly manner.

Salary: $18.76 - $24.03 per hour

Substitute position, called in to work as needed.

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent

Experience: Job related experience is desired.

Minimum qualifications: Must be at least 18 years old and possess a high school diploma or equivalent. Maintain a clean driving record and pass a background check. Hold a valid Washington State Driver's License. Demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills. Capable of managing student behavior and responding effectively to emergencies.

Work Environment: The usual and customary methods of performing the job's functions require the following physical demands: occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling, some climbing and balancing, some stooping, kneeling, crouching, and/or crawling and some fine finger dexterity. Generally the job requires 34% sitting, 33% walking, and 33% standing. The job is performed under minimal temperature variations and in a generally hazard free environment.
