Accounting Manager
The Accounting Manager is responsible for overseeing the full spectrum of accounting operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency across financial processes. This role plays a critical part in managing day-to-day accounting functions, leading the monthly close process, and supporting strategic financial planning. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and able to collaborate cross-functionally to support business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting operations, including accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), and general ledger activities
- Oversee billing processes, vendor payments, and cash flow management to ensure timely and accurate transactions
- Lead the monthly close process, including account reconciliations, journal entries, and preparation of financial statements
- Prepare and analyze financial reports to support leadership decision-making
- Support budgeting and forecasting activities, including variance analysis and financial planning
- Partner with external accountants and auditors to ensure compliance with tax regulations and reporting requirements
- Establish, document, and maintain internal controls, policies, and procedures to safeguard company assets
- Collaborate with Operations and Sales teams to ensure accurate revenue tracking and reporting
- Identify process improvement opportunities to enhance efficiency and accuracy within the accounting function
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or management role
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting requirements
- Experience with accounting software and ERP systems
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across departments

- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- High level of integrity and attention to detail
This is a full time position that is being offered with Hybrid flexibility, with a preference on candidates local to Sonoma County. Salary offering between $100-120k and commensurate with experience.
