Job Title

This position coordinates the processing of all released jobs through shop floor and OSP operations; interacts closely with the Commercial team, Manufacturing, Supply Chain/Purchasing, Outside Processing, Quality and Production Control to prioritize and expedite parts to meet schedule. Generates and maintains status reports and provides information as needed to support the cross functional team and meet On-Time-Delivery to customers. Position is located in Simi Valley, California.

Key Accountabilities
  • Schedules and prioritizes jobs through work cells & outside operations to best meet On Time Delivery to Customers, includes prioritizing list to current communicated priority.
  • Responsible for releasing production orders on time.
  • Identifies problems or bottlenecks delaying critical jobs from completing on time, communicates possible solutions and follow through with the required persons to resolve problem.
  • Status jobs and maintain updated list of remaining operations of all released jobs.
  • Maintain accurate data for daily dispatch list.
  • Responsible for maintaining MRP accuracy for their product lines.
  • Review cell demand and capacity.
  • Assist with master scheduling and capacity analysis.
  • Forecasts Line Item Shipment Accuracy and identifies orders at risk of late delivery.
  • Continuously develops and improves planning processes for efficiency and waste reduction.
  • Perform other duties as may be assigned.
Desirable Experience, Capabilities and Success Factors
  • BA degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related field Preferred.
  • 5 + years' experience as a planner.
  • Ability to deal constructively with all levels of the organization.
  • Able to generate reports, investigate and resolve problems using basic problem-solving tools and methodologies.
  • Must have good working knowledge in MS Word and Excel.
  • Knowledge of Material Requirements Planning (MRP) methodologies and practices.
  • High level knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement.
  • Working experience in ERP operating systems.
  • Must have excellent English verbal, reading and writing skills.
  • Great organization skills.

Expected Salary: $80,000 - $105,000 a year. Several factors are considered when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role responsibilities, candidate's work experience, skills and education.
