Warehouse Associate - 1st Shift

Warehouse Day equipment operator plays a critical role in ensuring that the warehouse runs smoothly while setting up both shifts for success. Daily replenishments, pallet put away, stocking, lumping, receiving, stamping, tote cleaning and other assigned duties are just some of the duties of the Day Equipment Operator. Equipment operation from reach lifts, order pickers, walkie riders and forklift will be required as needed. Stocking pick lines and ensuring all items are put to their correct locations. Being able to work in multiple areas with a team or solo as needed (equipment based or non-equipment based).

Position details: Schedule: 4-day work weeks (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday) Shift: 6:00am to finish Pay: $18.50/hour Position purpose: Warehouse associates are the foundation to our company's success. They work actively, safely, and independently to maintain the efficient flow of products through our distribution process, while ensuring quality standards.

Primary responsibilities: The warehouse person moves and tracks all inbound, outbound, and stored products within the warehouse. Offloads, stocks, selects, and replenishes products. Responsibilities may include but are not limited to: ensuring placement of product in sufficient quantities to accommodate routine or special demands. Maintaining a high level of attention to detail by ensuring that proper attention is given to all areas including but not limited to: balers, aisles, racking, floors, door pits, and other areas as assigned. Consolidating merchandise into picking containers as necessary. Packing products securely in cartons and totes. Ensuring application of shipping ID and mark cartons/totes with truck run and stop number. Pulling orders according to sequencing on delivery route/run list. Recording amount of materials or items received or distributed. Performing end of shift tasks such as charging power equipment and verifying completed work. Maintaining clean and orderly workstation; return supplies and merchandise to assigned locations. Following all preferred work methods, safety policies and procedures per company guidelines. Ensuring the work area is safe and reporting any unsafe conditions and/or acts immediately. Performing other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications: High school diploma/GED or equivalent. Must be able to work the scheduled/assigned times and required overtime for the position. Able to stand, walk, reach, and lift repeatedly throughout shift. Able to lift, stack, and/or pull products off shelves and conveyors, as well as replenish product, from various heights weighing between 10-35 pounds and generally up to approximately 50 to 90 pounds, depending on the location, throughout shift. Able to work in multi-temperature environments, i.e., cooler, freezer and dry. Able to obtain certifications for powered equipment, such as forklift operation. Pass post offer drug test and criminal background check.

Preferred qualifications: 1+ year of warehouse and/or distribution environment. Foodservice distribution or related industry experience.
