Accounts Payable Clerk

A manufacturing company in Duarte is seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to support the accounting team with daily AP operations. This role is responsible for processing vendor invoices, ensuring proper documentation and approvals, and maintaining accurate financial records within the ERP system. The position works closely with purchasing, operations, and warehouse teams to ensure invoices and purchase orders are properly matched and recorded in a timely manner.

Accounts Payable Processing

  • Enter and process vendor invoices in the ERP system while ensuring accuracy and proper coding.
  • Perform three-way matching between purchase orders, receiving documentation, and vendor invoices.
  • Prepare and process vendor payments according to established payment cycles.
  • Maintain organized vendor files and supporting documentation.

Vendor Communication & Account Management

  • Respond to vendor inquiries regarding invoice status and payment timelines.
  • Research and resolve billing discrepancies by coordinating with purchasing and operations teams.
  • Perform vendor statement reviews and reconciliations to ensure balances are accurate.
  • Assist with new vendor setup and documentation collection.

System & Data Accuracy

  • Maintain accurate accounts payable records within the ERP system to ensure reliable financial reporting.
  • Monitor AP aging reports and help address outstanding balances or payment issues.
  • Support improvements in AP processes and workflow efficiency.

Month-End Support

  • Assist the accounting team with month-end close activities related to accounts payable.
  • Support account reconciliations and reporting tasks as needed.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of accounts payable experience required.
  • Manufacturing industry experience preferred.
  • Experience working with ERP systems is strongly preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general office applications.
