This entry-level seasonal position is perfect for swimmers who enjoy the water and want to take their passion as an Aquatic Professional to the next level as a Swim Instructor. Swim Instructors will teach babies and adults how to swim in a safe and welcoming setting. Important candidate characteristics include, but are not limited to proficient swimmer, positive, mature, reliable, professional, courteous, and consistent.

Under general supervision, will assist with swim instruction, perform lifeguard and pool deck supervision, ensure safety of the participants and perform routine office and light pool and locker room maintenance.

Must have current First Aid and CPR Certificates and/or be currently enrolled in a class prior to employment with a projected completion date to receive a lifeguard certificate. Should have completed sophomore year of high school and have experience in aquatics such as swim team, formal lessons or demonstrate a good knowledge of competitive and lifesaving strokes.

Prior to appointment to the position of Swim Instructor, a medical examination and Department of Justice Livescan fingerprinting will be required.
