Stone Fabricator
This position works within the fabrication, inventory and material handling areas of the department. Essential functions include working on fabrication of stone, quartz or solid surface materials, depending upon business requirements. Responsible for sanding solid surface pieces with electric and air polishing tools as assigned. Loading and unloading of granite, marble, solid surfaces and quartz slabs with the use of forklifts and forklift attachmentsā adequate training will be provided. Ensure the proper maintenance of production equipment on a regular basis; filters, dust collectors, oiling of machinery, or other types of devices as assigned. Maintain a well-organized, clean and safe work environment. Perform additional duties as assigned by management in support of initiatives.
Competencies/Skills/Abilities include a high school diploma or GED required, prior stone or solid surfaces fabrication experience preferred, ability to multi-task and working within specified timeframes, ability to work in a fast paced, self-directed environment, current forklift certification required, and ability to problem-solve.
