This is a 12 month position. Minimum qualifications: Must be able to cooperate willingly with co-workers, principals, and other school personnel. Must have the ability to understand and follow simple oral and written instructions. Must be physically able to perform the duties required of a janitor. Must have some knowledge of the materials, methods and practices used in cleaning operations. Must have the ability to operate vacuum cleaners, scrubbing machines, polishing machines, and other janitorial equipment. Must have the ability to exercise care in the use of cleaning materials for different types of building surfaces. Shall perform other duties as assigned by the administration, supervisory staff, and head custodian. Must be able to lift 80 pounds. High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
