Supvr - Service Center
Matthews International is seeking a Service Center Supervisor for our Brooklyn, NY Service Center. This role is responsible for the day-to-day supervision of a high volume service center, including employee supervision, employee scheduling, dispatch, routing software, PM maintenance of the new delivery fleet and delivery of company products to external customers.

Job responsibilities include planning and scheduling receipt and delivery of distribution center products, performing routine quality inspections of incoming product and reporting quality issues, handling day to day execution of inventory processes for numerous items across different SKU's, supervising the daily work schedules of picking, staging and loading outgoing shipments of product, executing the delivery of any expedited shipments on an emergency basis, measuring, monitoring and reporting operations performance and efficiency metrics, directing and guiding the day to day operations staff including warehouse/driver positions, overseeing and/or performing SAP transactions, executing continuous improvement programs using Lean principles, utilizing the Matthews Management System in DC Operations, leading employee training, operating delivery vehicles and making deliveries (approximately 25% of the time), and additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications/requirements include 4+ years of previous service center experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Dispatch and software routing experience. Basic degree of proficiency in MS Office Suite, Outlook & Internet applications. Previous SAP experience strongly preferred. Ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships with peers and colleagues across the organization, as well as, internal and external clients. Ability to work overtime as necessary. Must have current driver's license, clean driving record and either possess or ability to obtain a DOT Medical Card.
Physical aspects/work environment regularly require standing, walking, sitting, using hands to finger, handle, or feel; reaching with hands and arms; stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling; and talking, hearing and seeing.
