Part Time Office Assistant - Community Preservation

The Town is looking for a Part Time Office Assistant in our Community Preservation Department.

Typical work activities include, but are not limited to:

  • Greeting and assisting members of the public with general questions regarding status of Acquisitions, First Time Home Buyers' Exemptions, I/A Septic Rebates; and Stewardship and Enforcement Matters, providing any requested/required forms.
  • Creating and Maintaining Acquisition E-files, hard files and general office filing.
  • Prepare files for Town Archiving and retrieving files from Town Archives.
  • Assisting Associate Administrator with the tracking of Appraisal Requests, proposals and monitoring deliverables for CPF matters.
  • Maintaining Acquisition Status Spreadsheet.
  • Compiles invoice packages for submission and delivery.
  • Maintains office supplies, and printers.
  • Opens mail to date stamp and distribute.
  • Answers phones, makes copies, scans and shreds documents.
  • Town Hall deliveries and pickups.
  • Performs other routine clerical duties as required

20 hours a week. $22 an hour

Minimum Qualifications

Graduation from a standard senior high school or possession of a high school equivalency diploma.
