Commercial HVAC/R Service Technician

RSC Mechanical is looking to expand our team and is seeking experienced Refrigeration Service Technicians. Job Responsibilities:

  • Install, maintain, and repair commercial refrigeration systems (walk-ins, reach-ins, ice machines, parallel rack systems, etc.)
  • Preferred experience with CO₂ refrigeration rack systems, including hands-on work with installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of transcritical and subcritical systems.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance and system checks
  • Handle refrigerants in compliance with EPA regulations
  • Read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and service manuals
  • Replace or repair compressors, motors, fans, and other key components
  • Communicate effectively with customers and team members
  • Maintain accurate service records and documentation
  • Respond to emergency service calls as needed

Qualifications:

  • EPA Universal Certification required.
  • Basic knowledge of commercial HVAC/refrigeration systems.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; extensive driving is a key part of the role.
  • Technicians are expected to supply their own standard hand tools.
  • Ability to complete necessary paperwork accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Strong communication skills with clients, team members, and management.
  • Able to work under pressure in fast-paced or high-stress environments.
  • Self-starter who can work independently and as part of a team.

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
  • Overtime may be required based on workload
  • Participation in an on-call rotation following the training period
