Customer Service Clerk

We are seeking a qualified Customer Service Clerk to join our team in either Warsaw, Virginia or Brierfield, Alabama. This position is a clerical support role which delivers the highest level of service in providing order processing support to the Customer Service team. Principal Responsibilities:

  • Accurately enters and reviews sales orders within 24 hours
  • Inputs customer and sales data into processing system according to company procedures
  • Ensures all proper paperwork is filed in customer folders to meet department policy
  • Provides backup coverage for Account Representative/Specialists
  • Assists with special projects/reporting as assigned
  • Supports invoicing customers, invoicing freight, and matching records for payment
  • Develops and maintains detailed written desk instructions covering all major responsibilities
  • May perform additional clerical responsibilities including mail distribution, filing, and general administrative tasks
  • Participates and contributes to company safety program
  • Performs other related duties as assigned

  • Education: High School Diploma
  • Experience: Three to six months related experience and/or training; previous clerical support experience
  • License/Certification: N/A

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Advance proficiency in Microsoft Suite
  • Strong organizational skills, proactive attitude with exceptional attention to detail
  • Capability to multi-task and work under pressure of deadlines
  • Ability to work in a team environment and interface interdepartmentally
