Medical Assistant

EDUCATION:

HS Diploma: High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED)

Other: Completion of a course of study consistent with the requirements for Medical Assistants as specified by the Medical Board of California. (Must present diploma within 90 days)

OR Other: Equivalent Sutter Health Training program.

CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE:

BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider

DEPARTMENT REQUIRED CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE:

Affiliate: Sutter Pacific Medical Foundation; Menlo Park Surgical Hospital; Palo Alto Medical Foundation; Sutter Maternity and Surgery Center, & SEBMF CMA-Certified Medical Assistant from one of the following:

American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA)
American Medical Certification Association (CMAC)
CCMA-AC from California Certifying Board of Medical Assistants (CCBMA)
RMA-Registered Medical Assistant from American Medical Technologists (AMT)
Multiskilled Medical Certification Institutes through National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT)

TYPICAL EXPERIENCE:

1 year of recent relevant experience.
