Job Summary:
The Warranty Service Supervisor will coordinate and perform a diverse set of support tasks to insure our Warranty Service Technicians start up, commission, troubleshoot and diagnose the air conditioning systems of single-family homes and multi-family properties accurately and efficiently while adhering to the National ACCA standards along with the State and Local building Codes also upholding the Strada Services Brand Promise of delivering professional, responsive services with uncompromising reliability, respect and value to our customers.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Hires, trains, and supports Service technicians and apprentices.
- Organizes and oversees the schedules and work of Service techs including apprentices.
- Conducts or assists with performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.
- Assists with discipline and termination of employees as needed and in accordance with company policy.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and work with the Service Coordinators to ensure customers received the most experienced service techs for the scope of work to be performed.
- Supervise and direct the field employees by determining work procedures, reviewing work schedules, expediting the workflow, assigning duties and examining work for accuracy.
- Ensure all truck stock material, Tools, are covered daily to ensure customers' expectations are constantly met.
- Review Service Work Orders daily for tech compliance per company policies.
- Review and approved field employee's weekly payroll hours and PTO.
- Effectively communicate with all customers, building officials and internal office support staff.
- Perform Service technicians' tasks as needed to support emergency calls.
- Able to perform on call supervision rotation.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Must have clean driving record (No more than 3 points in 12 months).
- Must pass Background check and pre-employment drug test.
- Able to work a flexible schedule which may include nights and weekends.
- Ability to navigate the use of company provided electronic tablet & desktop.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
- Ability to read technical diagrams of equipment, controls, and blueprints.
- Ability to solve basic math problems as it applies to the CFM Calculations.
- Ability to direct warranty service technicians to perform task in the most proficient manner.
- Good work ethic and willingness to learn new methods.
- Strong leadership skills.
Education and Experience:
- 5+ years of residential electrical wiring, repair and troubleshooting all aspects of the air conditioning system preferred.
- 2+ years' experience in the position of supervisor / foreman for a Service provider with emphasis on air conditioning systems of single-family homes or multi-family properties.
- Prior experience supervising 10+ field employees preferred.
- Strong communication and interaction skills required, both verbal and written.
- Competent supervisory and excellent organizational skills preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk working on a computer and prolonged periods standing.
- Ability to lift to 50 pounds without additional manpower or mechanical device.
- Ability to work in outside environments of heat & cold safely as needed to support field employees.
- Report to work well- groomed in appearance and maintain clean uniform.
