Job Description
Title: Medical Assistant

Schedule: Shift: 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM

Assignment Details:
- Guaranteed Hours: 40
- Contract Length: 13 weeks

Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED certificate required.
- Medical Assistant certification from an accredited program (NHA, AMCA) required.
- BLS Certification (American Heart Association) required.
- At least one year of related medical assisting experience in a physician's office or clinical setting, or equivalent combination of training and experience.
- Re-processing/procedural experience preferred.
- Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) is preferred.

Roles & Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care, including rooming patients, obtaining vital signs, and documenting symptoms.
- Document all required information in electronic medical records.
- Administer injections and immunizations as ordered by the provider and assist during medical procedures.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and manage patient records.
- Track the receipt of results for all ordered tests and complete referrals accurately.
- Disinfect exam rooms between patients and assist with clinic upkeep, including cleaning and supply inventory.
- Comply with all OSHA and safety regulations and perform additional duties as assigned.
