Key qualifications include:
- An associate's or bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business, or a related field is preferred; candidates with 1-3 years of related experience without a degree are also encouraged to apply.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, is essential.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and adaptability.
- Familiarity with ERP systems, such as Sage 100, is a plus.
Main responsibilities encompass:
- Processing daily accounts payable tasks, including invoice entry and vendor reconciliation.
- Preparing payments via checks or ACH, ensuring accuracy and proper documentation.
- Supporting payroll operations for approximately 150+ employees, including data entry and verification.
- Recording payroll journal entries and conducting account reconciliations.
- Assisting with administrative duties like filing, mailing, and managing office supplies.
- Cross-training in receivables, invoicing, and HR functions as proficiency increases.
