Job Description:

The Patient Experience Advocate is dedicated to improving the patient and family experience. This position is responsible for providing timely and appropriate assistance and support services as needed with patients, families, and staff that are in contact with the Patient Experience Department, and is responsible for patient satisfaction efforts to include staff training, promoting initiatives, satisfaction survey processes, and patient/family complaint resolutions. This position also provides support in complying with regulations surrounding patient rights and patient grievances. The Patient Experience Advocate will also assist with special projects and the general operation of the department, and will work to minimize risk to the organization with loss of business or reputation, and loss by patient claims that would result from dissatisfied patients.

Patient Experience Advocate I:

Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Associate degree preferred

Experience:

  • Two years' experience required in healthcare, customer service, or social work/social service
  • Bilingual in Spanish preferred – if incumbent will be used for medical interpretation purposes, successful completion of language proficiency assessment will be required
