Job Summary
The Credit Manager will be responsible for handling guest and group billing, reconciling payments, coordinating with the front office and sales teams, and ensuring timely collection of receivables. This role is critical in supporting the hotel's financial health and guest satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and send accurate invoices for individual, group, and corporate accounts in a timely manner
- Monitor and follow up on outstanding balances and ensure timely collection of payments
- Reconcile daily transactions and guest folios with hotel property management systems
- Post payments and apply them to the correct accounts using hotel accounting software
- Manage billing for events, banquets, group bookings, and long-stay guests
- Work closely with the Front Office, Sales, and Events teams to resolve billing issues or disputes
- Maintain accurate and organized financial records in compliance with hotel standards
- Prepare and review Accounts Receivable aging reports and escalate overdue accounts
- Respond promptly to guest inquiries and provide supporting documentation as needed
- Prepare Credit Card reconciliation and Bank reconciliation
- Reconcile Gift Card balance
- Assist with other tasks as needed
- Assist with month-end closing tasks and audits
Qualifications
Associate or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
2–5 years of experience in Accounts Receivable, preferably in the hotel or hospitality industry
Familiarity with hotel systems such as Opera, PMS, POS, or accounting platforms
Strong understanding of hotel billing processes, including folio management and group billing
High attention to detail and organizational skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong time management skills and ability to meet deadlines
Advance Excel skills
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with Opera PMS or similar hotel software
- Prior experience working in a hotel accounting or hotel environment

Physical Requirements
The ideal candidate must be able to perform all physical requirements of the job in a safe manner, with or without reasonable accommodation. Physical requirements include, but are not limited to:
- Standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, and bending in an operational environment for extended periods
- Frequent bending, twisting, stooping, reaching, and pulling
- Lifting and carrying of loads weighing up to 30 pounds
- Remaining in a stationary position for long periods
- Constantly operating a computer and other office productivity machinery
- Working in outdoor environments, including high altitudes, that may present extreme weather conditions such as snow, ice, rain, heat, wind, etc.
