3rd: 10:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m
Job Description
This role supports a long-established plastics manufacturer serving the automotive industry by working with injection molding equipment in a clean, modern production facility. You will operate within your own work cell to load and unload parts, perform visual quality checks on finished products, and complete light assembly and trimming of excess materials as needed. This position offers multiple shift options and opportunities to grow into higher-responsibility roles over time.
Responsibilities
- Work within an assigned production work cell to support injection molding operations.
- Load raw or semi-finished parts into machines and safely unload finished parts from injection molding presses.
- Perform routine visual and basic dimensional quality checks on finished products to ensure they meet specifications.
- Complete light assembly tasks on molded components as required for specific product lines.
- Trim excess materials and flash from molded parts using hand tools or other basic equipment.
- Follow standard operating procedures and work instructions for each machine and product.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to support safety, efficiency, and product quality.
- Handle parts carefully to prevent damage and maintain consistent product standards.
- Communicate any quality, equipment, or material issues to the appropriate production support personnel.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines while working around presses, overhead cranes, and other production equipment.
- Support overall production goals by meeting established productivity and quality targets.
- Work cooperatively with team members and other departments to keep production running smoothly across shifts.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Auburn Hills, MI.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $15.00 - $16.50/hr.
