Description
Position Title: Cherry Picker/Reach Truck Operator
Position Summary:
The Cherry Picker/Reach Truck Operator is responsible for receiving, storing, counting, transacting equipment, materials, products, supplies, tools, and inventories to support plant operations.
Location: Groveport, OH
Pay:
1st: $19.50/hr
2nd: $20/hr
Hours:
1st: Monday-Friday (6am-2:30pm) some OT may be required
2nd: Monday-Friday (2:30pm-11:00pm)
Key Responsibilities and Duties:
- Receive materials and products according to established procedures
- Pick items as required by departmental procedures
- Package and ship goods as needed
- Operate scanners to track inventory and shipments
- Ensure a continuous flow of materials throughout the supply chain
- Conduct physical inventory counts as required
- Operate cherry picker and/or reach trucks safely and efficiently
- Assist with machine operations, assembly work, and other duties as assigned by the supervisor
Education:
- High School Diploma or GED preferred
Experience and Required Skills:
- Minimum of one (1) year of related experience
- Basic math skills
- Basic computer skills to process transactions
- Ability to read, write, and understand English
Physical Requirements:
- Frequently required to walk, talk, and hear
- Occasionally required to stand, sit, and use hands to handle or feel objects
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds occasionally
- Specific vision abilities include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
