Electrical Material Planner

The Electrical Material Planner is an integral part of the Supply Chain team. The Electrical Material Planner will administer production procurement operations to include Bill of Material creation, Purchase Request and Purchase Order tracking, and Material Delivery requests and reports that drive the production schedules. Ensure continuous improvement of scheduling and control of inventories, on-time delivery and cost mitigation.

• Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, schematics and military specification call outs

• Identify part marking requirements.

• Create Bill of materials from technical documentation of electrical assemblies

• Use Material Requirements Planning system to generate and monitor all procurement activities

• Monitor metrics for system performance management.

• Coordinate and expedite the flow of materials. Arrange for delivery, assembly or distribution of components and supplies to expedite flow of materials and meet production schedules.

• Compile status reports on progress of procurement, production inventory levels, costs, materials inventories, materials used, customer feedback and production procurement issues.

• Maintain documentation and information to account for delays, difficulties, and / or changes to procurement efforts

• Report activity results and provide feedback on performance.

• Maintain files such as maintenance records, bills of lading, work orders, purchase requests and procurement status reports.

• Execute plans for continuous improvement for the procurement efforts.

• Develop positive relationships with internal and external customers to ensure that productivity goals are consistently met and provide regular status.

• Maintain material delivery schedules and make changes when necessary due to design changes, material shortages, backlogs, or other interruptions.

This job has no supervisory responsibilities. This position has the responsibility and authority to carry out assigned tasks.

• Intermediate computer skills specifically using Microsoft Office Suite; ability to learn additional computer skills or software programs

• Ability to enter data accurately into databases

• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals

• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence

• Excellent interpersonal skills to work effectively and cooperatively with all levels of management and staff. Will also routinely interact with external contacts such as customers, vendors, suppliers, shipping companies, etc.

• Must be trustworthy – will handle confidential information routinely

• Effective communication skills

• Ability to use general office equipment such as scanner, phone, copier, etc.

• Ability to follow a process

• Strong professional customer service skills, including active listening, prompt service and follow-up

• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to evaluate data and consider decision impact across multiple areas

• Strong decision analysis and problem-solving skills; ability to draw conclusions and justify decisions. Must be able to communicate issues to management and regulatory agencies

• Ability to learn and understand corporate policies and procedures and how they relate to Yulista Integrated Solutions' goals

• Ability to perform basic mathematical computations, detect unobvious facts and issues, and exercise resourcefulness in resolving problems

• Must be able to work independently and stay on task with minimal supervision

Ability to multi-task

• Must have a background in electrical manufacturing of components, assemblies and or cables or the procurement of the material for electrical manufacturing of components, assemblies and or cables

• Have working knowledge of Aviation spec SAE-AS50881, IPC/WHMA-A-620, IPC-A-610, and J-STD-001

• Ability to pass a drug and background screening

• Must be able to obtain a government security clearance

• High School Diploma or Equivalent with 10 year task related experience, or Associates Degree/enrolled in a four year degree program and 5 years task related experience, or Bachelors Degree with 2 years task related experience
