SANITATION HELPER - FULL TIME
The Town of Southampton is looking for an individual to work full time in our Waste Management Division performing a variety of light and heavy manual laboring tasks in the collection and disposal of garbage.
Collects and disposes of leaves, litter and refuse. Some assignments, including elementary equipment operation, may require skills which can readily be learned on the job. Basic tasks assigned may be routine and repetitive in nature and once learned, can be carried on without difficulty.
Some knowledge of simple tools used in garbage collection; ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions; ability to operate simple machinery; physical condition commensurate with the demands of the position. Must be dependable!
40 hours, 5 days per week – may include Saturday and Sunday $ 49,652.64 plus full benefits package.
