ESY Transportation Assistant Summer 2026

Bus Aide Position

The Upper Moreland Township School District is seeking qualified bus aide candidates who will work with students during the extended school year program. Salary: $15.00 per hour (minimum of 4 hours per day and 4 days per week). Responsibilities include: assisting assigned student safely on and off bus or van, including but not limited to assisting with any assigned medical equipment, transportation devices, school equipment etc. as able with van/bus driver assistance; assisting student and driver to secure any equipment appropriately on the transportation vehicle; assisting in securing student in the transportation vehicle as assigned with driver assistance if needed; monitoring assigned student conduct on assigned vehicle, documenting any safety violations or behavior issues; communicating with student and assigned instructor, assistants, administrators and parents as needed and in a professional manner; attending any in-service training as assigned; other job duties as assigned. Qualifications: previous experience working with students with special needs preferred. Must be available for entire duration of program. Must be a good team player, punctual, energetic, parent friendly and have an eagerness to learn. Must successfully complete and maintain compliance with all federal and state background and criminal record check requirements. Candidate must adhere to all local, state, federal, and school code requirements for employment. ESY schedule- summer 2026: Monday through Thursday June 29th to July 30th, 2026 8:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. (half day) session or the 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. (full day) session (4.5 to 6.5 hours daily).
