System Functional Safety Engineer

Location: Long Beach, CA

Looking for a system functional safety engineer with a good understanding of hardware and software. Key responsibilities:

• Define and manage the comprehensive set of functional safety requirements and safety concepts that govern system architecture and design.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the implementation of functional safety requirements throughout the system lifecycle.

• Conduct safety analysis and risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential hazards.

• Develop and maintain safety documentation, including safety plans, safety cases, and safety reports.

• Participate in system design reviews, safety reviews, and validation activities to ensure compliance with functional safety standards.

• Provide technical expertise and guidance to engineering teams on functional safety topics.

• Engage with suppliers and partners to ensure functional safety requirements are met throughout the supply chain.

• Stay updated on the latest functional safety standards, regulations, and best practices.

• Support the investigation and resolution of functional safety-related issues and incidents.

• Contribute to the continuous improvement of functional safety processes and procedures.
