Utility III – Processing

The Utility III – Processing position is an over crew role responsible for supporting departmental operations by filling in for various positions. This position provides critical staffing flexibility to maintain production efficiency and may be assigned to support other departments based on business needs.

As part of the Labor Pool job family, team members in this role must be willing and able to perform a wide range of tasks across the operation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide cross-functional support to other departments to meet operational demands
  • Perform a variety of production tasks, including knife work, packing, palletizing, and machine operation
  • Assist with general labor and other duties as assigned to support production goals
  • Follow all safety, animal welfare, food safety, and quality standards at all times
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements
  • Adapt to changing production needs and work assignments throughout the shift
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing or food production environment preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to learn and perform multiple job functions
  • Strong commitment to safety, quality, and teamwork
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull weight
  • Ability to work in varying temperatures and production environments
Work Environment
  • Food processing/manufacturing environment
  • Exposure to noise, machinery, and varying temperatures
  • Required use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
  • Flexibility to work overtime, weekends, and different shifts as needed
