Temporary Live Productions Warehouse Technician

The Temporary Live Productions Warehouse Technician prepares and returns rental equipment orders assisting departments as needed. This is an on-call, part-time role with a six-month contract.

Your day will look like this:

  • Together with the department manager, coordinate the preparation of orders on a priority basis
  • Prepare, scan, and pack equipment for transportation
  • The technician may be required to customize the equipment if requested by the customer according to the purchase order depending on the department
  • Complete the lists in the R2 software
  • Modify the equipment parameters
  • Program equipment according to the standards and needs of the client
  • Prepare racks and interconnection of systems
  • Install versions and updates of software/computer programs
  • Ensure to supply all necessary accessories for operation of equipment (e.g., wiring, adapter, PSU, gelatin, bracket, remote control, etc.)
  • Ensure that all equipment is in clean and working condition
  • Ensure the order and cleanliness of work areas
  • Report any breaks and/or missing items to the supervisor
  • Keep track of inventories, kits, cable assembly bundles, etc.
  • Respond to any questions or issues technicians may have, as well as to those from coordinators and technicians on the road
  • Clean and visually inspect returned equipment
  • Upgrade items to the current version (e.g., painting, cleaning, etc.)
  • Follow quality standards as well as the company's and/or industry's standards of preparation
  • Loading and unloading of outbound and inbound equipment
  • All other duties related to the position
  • May be required to work in the following departments: Sound, Lighting, Video and Rigging, networking, shipping & receiving

Your profile:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Less than 1 year of experience in a live event production or event rental equipment
  • Less than 1 year of experience in a warehouse environment
  • Knowledge of inventory software (an asset)
  • Knowledge of Office 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Knowledge in live event production equipment
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to communicate information in a logical and clear way
  • Ability to work alone and in a team environment
  • Good ability to self-start and prioritize within tight deadlines
  • Ability to work under pressure and adapt to change
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Forklift certification (an asset)

Work Requirements:

Time will be spent in a warehouse setting. Time will be spent on event sites. Environment may be fast paced, hot, cold.
