Packer - Industrial Manufacturing - Woodridge, IL
Packer Compensation:
- Starting rate $19.13 an hour+ $1.00 shift differential for nights - paid weekly
Packer available night shifts: Days 7AM -7PM and Nights 7PM- 7AM
Packer provides support for the operation team by working safely, in a fast paced production warehouse environment, while inspecting product for defects and packing finished goods in correct configuration.
- Package product into boxes and prepare for shipment
- Check for quality issues to product and contact team lead with issues
- Ensure you have enough supplies at your station (boxes, tape ect.)
- Keep station clean at all times
- Follow safety guidelines at all times
Education and/or Experience:
- Previous experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment is highly preferred
- Ability to work with others effectively as a part of a team is essential.
- Ability to follow standard work instructions is required.
Physical Demand/Effort:
- Must wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and clothing, when required, such as safety shoes, face masks, safety glasses, hearing protection, hard hat/bump cap, hair/beard net and gloves
- Ability to stand, walk, twist, stoop, squat, kneel, crawl, bend throughout the duration of the scheduled shift
- Prolonged standing while performing the duties of the job
- Job requires high level of manual dexterity with repetitive use of hands, shoulders, elbows, hips, knees, and ankles
