Medical Assistant

Healthcare professionals who support doctors, nurses, and patients by performing both clinical and administrative tasks, such as recording patient histories, taking vital signs, administering injections, and scheduling appointments. Performs non-invasive, routine, technical support services under the specific authorization and supervision of a licensed physician, podiatrist, physician assistant, nurse practitioner or nurse midwife.

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday
  • 8:00am – 5:00pm
  • 13-Week Assignment

Pay:

  • $20.00 - $21.00 DOE

Essential Job Functions:

  • Set up exam rooms and check in patients. Maintains a patient recall system, including continuity of care logs for lab tests, referrals and transfers.
  • Obtains vital signs. Reports significant findings and pertinent patient observations to clinic physicians.
  • Performs venipunctures as ordered.
  • Performs audiometry and vision testing.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • High School Education/GED or equivalent
  • BLS Certificate (AHA ONLY)
  • 1 year of experience, Two years preferred.
  • No Job Jumping
  • Must be able to pass medical screenings
  • Must be able to pass background check.
