Part-Time Bookkeeper

Location: Clovis, CA Schedule: Part-Time | 8-24 Hours per week Compensation: $30–$40/hour DOE

Position Overview

The Part-Time Bookkeeper will be responsible for managing and maintaining accurate financial records across multiple areas of the business. This role works closely with ownership and leadership to support daily accounting functions, maintain organized financial systems, and assist with reporting and operational accuracy.

The ideal candidate has strong bookkeeping experience, excellent attention to detail, the ability to work independently, and a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate general ledger records
  • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
  • Perform bank, credit card, and account reconciliations
  • Prepare and record journal entries
  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes
  • Maintain organized and accurate financial documentation
  • Support payroll-related recordkeeping and reporting
  • Monitor and track business expenses and vendor payments
  • Assist leadership with financial reporting and operational analysis
  • Identify discrepancies and proactively resolve accounting issues

Organization & Administrative Support

  • Maintain confidentiality of financial and employee information
  • Ensure accounting systems and records remain organized and up to date
  • Assist with process improvements and financial organization
  • Collaborate with leadership to support operational needs
  • Support compliance with company policies and accounting procedures

What We're Looking For

  • 10+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experience required
  • Strong understanding of full-cycle bookkeeping and reconciliations
  • High level of accuracy, organization, and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines independently
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency with accounting software and spreadsheets
  • Comfortable handling confidential financial information
  • Experience in multi-location or hospitality businesses is a plus
  • Experience with payroll systems is a plus

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to sit and work at a computer for extended periods
  • Ability to occasionally lift up to 20 pounds
  • Ability to communicate clearly in person, by phone, and electronically

Compensation & Benefits

  • $30-$40 per hour (DOE)
